Director, Former Child Abuse Prosecutor
Rainey Webb is a former child abuse prosecutor in Texas who began her career helping develop a Domestic Violence Diversion program for Tarrant County’s family violence court, County Criminal Court Number 5. She spent 13 years as an assistant district attorney in Grayson and Tarrant Counties. As an assistant DA, her assignments included the Family Violence Unit as a supervisor over the misdemeanor section, and the Crimes Against Children Unit, where she prosecuted cases involving children eight and under who were physically or sexually abused. Rainey has served as a speaker/instructor for the Texas District and County Attorneys’ Association and the State Bar of Texas. Rainey currently teaches specialized criminal law seminars as an adjunct professor at Baylor University’s School of Law. Rainey has traveled through much of Eastern Africa with Africa Leadership and Reconciliation Ministry (ALARM) to Rwanda, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan leading legal trainings for lawyers, judges, and members of parliament in addition to military and law enforcement officers. Rainey is board-certified in criminal law and received her B.S. in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin before completing her J.D. at Texas A&M School of Law. Additionally, she completed a semester of law school abroad at the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa.
